Bows must give range experience!

So we have the Dark bow that for some reason looks like a bow and works like a bow... but it gives melee experience...? shouldn't it give range experience, the same goes for the rune crossbow, and Karil's crossbow... include some bolts that we need to use for it to operate... including range experience... it takes FOREVER to get that up to 99 let alone even trying to get it up to 200!
